POSITION SUMMARY
The WIC Customer Service Representative is responsible for front office day-to-day activities of the WIC clients including answering phones, scheduling appointments, registration of patients, filing charts, and other customer service representative duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
- Interviews and determines if applicants meet the identification, residency and financial requirements for eligibility with the WIC Program.
- Assist in making referrals for WIC clients to other health officials as needed.
- Issues and maintains all food instrument issuances, etc., in a safe manner in support of the WIC Program per their specific requirements.
- Greets WIC patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant, professional manner.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective, productive relations with co-workers, supervisors, patients and the public.
- Daily appointment scheduling, answers incoming calls, makes patient appointments reminder calls.
- Utilizes all components of the CARES computer system.
- Maintains a neat/well organized work area. Responsible for maintaining an adequate amount of supplies.
- Scans charts/documentations on a daily basis.
- Registers and/or updates patient demographic information into the CARES patients account system on a daily basis.
- Maintains an accurate daily patient activity report which includes a record of scheduled, no-show, re-scheduled and canceled patient appointments and provides a monthly activity report to the supervisor.
- Ability to display flexibility as patient flow changes.
- Attends all LRMC in-service training as required.
- Attends all mandatory training throughout the year per WIC requirements.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains Center confidentiality and Code of Compliance per policy.
- Assist with registering WIC clients to vote when requested.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift 8am-5pm
- Part-Time 20 hours a week
