The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Vice President, Line of Business Risk II in New York NY, to contribute to the ongoing independent oversight and challenge of day-to-day risk management activities, client, product and process change risk assessments and risk reporting for an assigned business line/entity risk facing a moderate level of risk. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Utilizing financial products, including Equity products, Fixed Income products, OTC derivatives, and associated market risk profiles to perform risk analysis and reporting for both internal groups and regulators; Validating simulation based VaR and Stress VaR model calculations by evaluating quality of market data, analyzing pricing and risk impact data, and investigating calculation anomalies; Building automation tools to extract and aggregate data, and streamline risk reporting production; Driving projects that involve multiple teams including front office, controllers, modelling, and technology; Designing processes and workflows to streamline controls over data reconciliation and account integrity; and Performing analysis on a large volume of data using Excel/VBA, SQL and Python.
