JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the IT Manager and Sr. Systems Administrator, the Systems Administrator helps users achieve optimum use of their computer systems by performing needs analysis, installation, training, and problem resolution for the corporate systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains PC and server systems, remote access servers, and domain servers under the direction of the Senior Systems Administrator.
- Coordinates with network engineers to implement database administration and business application programs.
- Responsible for systems maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
- Acts as backup for security firewalls, application and device servers, and Internet or Intranet devices and connections.
- Manages MS365 Tenant with Senior Systems Administrator.
- Configures, monitors, and optimizes PCs, servers, and virtual systems for optimal performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and reasonable costs.
- Performs preventative and fault isolation maintenance on local systems.
- Performs file maintenance on servers, domains, email, user files, and databases.
- Configures, maintains, and manages network security features for local and wide-area networks.
- As required, adds and deletes users on network servers and applications.
- Performs customization and system administration for task/project management, help desk, workgroup integration, documentation, and educational software packages on local and wide area networks.
- Works with telecommunications engineers to integrate voice, data, and video applications on the local and wide area networks.
- Performs basic telephone maintenance as required.
- Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability.
- Develops, maintains, and updates a library of technical documentation.
- Performs advanced diagnostics and maintenance on desktop devices when additional expertise is required.
- Works with cross-functional teams to design and implement information technology.
- Assists in training other information systems personnel to improve their technical skills.
- Keeps current on new developments and techniques in information technology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or similar degree; or 3+ years of professional experience supporting applications and systems.
- Able to adhere to controls and processes while providing suggestions for future improvements.
- Able to break down complex work into manageable efforts.
- Works exceptionally well with a team and effectively communicates written and oral information.
- Experience with operating systems: Windows Server 2016, 2019, & Windows 10/11 (knowledge of older systems a plus).
- Experience with networking platforms, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba/HP (or similar systems).
- MS365 Teams and Sharepoint experience (Certifications are a plus).
- Experience with virtualization: VMWare vSphere 5.5+.
- Experience with SPAM, Security & Endpoint Protection: FortiOS, Barracuda, TrendMicro (or equivalent).
- Experience with encryption: Vormetric, MS Bitlocker, or equivalent.
- Experience with remote desktop: Citrix XenApp, Terminal Services, RDP, and VSA.
- Experience with monitoring tools: Solarwinds, Tripwire, AlertLogic, LANGuardian, LANSweeper, VSA, or equivalent.
- Experience with ticketing system: Kaseya Vorex/BMS or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with general networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, and MPLS.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
