HRIS and Payroll Manager

The HRIS and Payroll Manager will bring meticulous attention to detail and organization to multiple areas of the company including payroll, benefits administration, leave management, general HR support, and compliance. The HR Operations Specialist role, based in our Miami office, is critical to the success of our phenomenal team and ensures employees have what they need to succeed at Boats Group.
What You’ll Do
Payroll Administration: ownership of bi-weekly payroll processing for the US employees, this includes timecard management for our non-exempt staff. Effectively manage payroll entry and pass off for QA every other week, and additional runs as needed.
Benefits Administration: assist in new hire benefits enrollment, processing life events, and support throughout the open enrollment process. Partner with the team at our broker’s office, ensuring the accurate flow of data between Paycor, our HRIS, and bSwift, our benefits system. Assist in 401k enrollments and transactions, as needed. Address general benefits questions daily, working with our support team to escalate issues when required.
HRIS Administration: process hires/terminations/leave transactions in Paycor and maintain accurate employee files within and outside the system. Oversight of paid time off assignments by employees, balance management, and troubleshooting as necessary with Paycor support.
Leave Management: manage the intake, application, and execution of employee leave requests. Responsibilities include the accurate and timely completion of all associated documentation as well as the ability to translate and discuss policy with the employees requesting leave. The HRIS and Payroll Manager is required to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
HR Administration and Compliance Support: manage the flow of inquiries that come through the HR inbox. Assist in the completion of verifications of employment, unemployment inquiries, general reporting, and quarterly and annual compliance reporting. Support new hire onboarding activities, including Form I-9 completion and management of our E-Verify process. Additional HR projects or initiatives as needed.
What You Should Have
- Three or more years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least one year of direct experience completing payroll, preferably for a multi-state employer. Prior experience working in Paycor is a plus.
- Ideal candidates will have solid understanding of benefits administration to include medical, dental, vision, FMLA, STD, LTD, life insurance, and 401(k) plans. At least one year of prior leave management experience is required.
- High level of accountability and the ability to operate confidentially.
- Experience managing data in an HRIS or within Excel - the demonstrated skills to extract information as required.
- Ability to work primarily from our Miami office.
- Must be a team player with the ability to forge strong relationships across the organization.
- Experience in working through complex transactions, with the ability to analyze, problem-solve and communicate observations and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Strong experience working in a collaborative environment to drive results.
- Willingness to assist with special projects as assigned.
- Experience working for a global organization is preferred.
- SHRM/HR certification preferred.
