Do you enjoy a fast paced environment? Do you have mechanical ability? Are you a mechanic that is sick of dealing with customers, and comebacks? Currently we are hiring for an automotive dismantler. Dismantlers are the backbone of our company, and are one of the most important members of our team.
We have a clean state of the art facility where you will be dismantling vehicles inside. Performs complete dismantle procedure as defined by management, part inspection for quality control. Written process is on paper and in our handbook. Work week is Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities:
Quality control and part inspection
Remove and properly dispose of fluids including oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, power brake fluid, gasoline, diesel, and anti-freeze
Evacuate refrigerant from vehicle air conditioning systems
Remove mercury switches from vehicle equipped with these devices
Removal and proper handling of battery and catalytic converter
Actual dismantling of the vehicle including removal of all inventoried parts listed on the dismantling report, and quality inspection. Removal of core parts that are not inventoried
Tagging and identifying parts with stock numbers
Resolving part interchange numbers on dismantler report
Complete one vehicle before starting another
Keep work area clean and safe
Maintain tools and equipment and regularly inspect for problems
Put away parts after each vehicle
Take out cores after each vehicle
Pick up debris from previous vehicle and put in appropriate dumpsters
Record keeping including dismantling reports and progressive pay plan
Turn in dismantling reports after each vehicle
We work as a team, and all members of our team are required to help each other when needed, or asked by management.
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
Be safety conscious.
Be able to lift heavy items, possibly in excess of 75 pounds

Establish daily operational objectives
Be dependable and arrive to work on time, prepared, and ready for the shift
Take ownership and can be counted on to do the job correctly
Be organized and pay attention to detail
Have good communication skills and be able to read and write
Tolerate of environment, climate changes working indoor/outdoor as needed
Having your own tools is a plus and recommended, but we have tool for the right individual.
Compensation:
Starting Rate is $17 per hour, but would offer more based on experience and qualifications.
We are currently changing lots of things, we currently do not offer insurance, or 401k, but plan on having them implemented within the next 6 months, specifics can be given in person, or interview
After 12 months of being employed you are allowed one week's paid vacation, every 24 months after that you will be awarded another week's paid vacation, with a maximum of 3 weeks total, and 5 Sick days per year.
Reviews will be done yearly and a 3% increase in pay will be given yearly.
After 90 days you will be evaluated, if everything is good we would start you on our progressive pay plan. This allows you to be paid on performance, but not be paid less if certain quotas are not met all the time. Qualified individuals should be able to make between $800 and $1000 per week.
Paid Holidays include Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas + day depending on how it falls, Labor day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Good Friday
