As the Content Specialist (or senior specialist) at a globally leading law firm, you will develop and execute employer branding strategies, draft and edit a variety of content projects, and assist in the project management of key firmwide projects. You will work closely with the Senior Content Manager to create recruitment-related content, including firm profiles, web copy, articles and more, as well as manage relationships with key legal publications and drive forward new employer branding initiatives. The Content Specialist will also serve as a vital member of the firm’s Content team, assisting with drafting and editing website materials, internal communications, talking points, and more.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, deadline-driven writer and skilled project manager with experience in legal recruitment or employer branding, as well as a keen interest in the legal industry and legal practice. This role is truly multifaceted, touching upon content development, marketing, recruitment and project management.
The role requires significant collaboration across various functions, including Legal Personnel, Communications and Marketing. Those who are interested in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment will thrive.
- Work closely with the Content and Legal Personnel teams to develop and execute employer branding strategies, including creating a variety of content, such as firm profiles, videos, web copy, articles, Q&As and more
- Assist in managing the firm’s relationships with law student-focused publications, including updating the firm’s presence on related sites
- Monitor recruitment marketing trends and collaborate with Senior Content Manager to identify new, valuable opportunities
- Draft and/or edit practice-, matter- and attorney-specific content for a variety of purposes and audiences, including for the website, internal communications and other marketing uses
- Serve as a key team member in advancing and implementing important large-scale firm projects alongside the Senior Content Manager and broader cross-functional teams
- Maintain and promote consistent voice and tone across all marketing collateral, aligned with overall firm priorities
The Right Candidate Brings:
- A J.D. (with experience working as a law firm associate) or a degree in journalism, communications or related field
- 3+ years of experience working in recruitment marketing or legal recruitment, including within a large law firm, law school career services office, or recruitment-focused legal publication; alternatively, significant content and marketing experience within a law firm, with a strong interest in employer branding
- Excellent writing and editing skills across a range of content types: blog posts, social media, website copy, video scripts, emails, etc.
- Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior executives/attorneys
- A solid understanding of legal recruitment and marketing best practices
- Ability to work in a corporate environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Resourceful, driven and professional attitude with a genuine desire to learn and commitment to ensuring team success.
This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role.
Salary:
- $105,000- $120,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
- Overtime work is often required, including nights and weekends.
