Summary
Under general supervision of the Fire Captain, perform routine, complex, and emergency tasks relating to fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services according to state, local, and federal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. (Education will be verified) Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Required Certifications/Licenses:
Valid State of Florida driver's license.
Valid Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance as approved by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards.
State of Florida or National Registry Paramedic license
Emergency Vehicle Operator Certificate (EVOC)
Current CPAT - applicants must have completed the CPAT no more than one (1) year prior to application closing date.
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Special Requirement:
All applicants must be non-users of tobacco (any form) for at least one (1) year prior to application, remain tobacco free during application process, and must retain tobacco free for the entire period of employment as a Firefighter with the City of Riviera Beach. Tobacco free means you have not used cigarettes, pipes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, vapes or any other type of smoking or smokeless tobacco on or off duty during the tenure of their employment.
