Overview:
We are seeking an ESL Coordinator to join our team, responsible to ensure quality of education at designated center through curriculum implementation, as well as teacher training, mentoring, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and possess strong organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative (Pertaining to Students, Curriculum, and Faculty):
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure program functionality and success.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades and class promotion.
- Keep organized records and maintain an orderly and secure filing sstem.
- Conduct student surveys and formulate survey data collation reports.
- Monitor and maintain effective teacher-student ratios at the appointed center.
- Conduct regular student orientation and placement testing.
- Coordinate teacher substitution in classes.
- Assist with the ongoing recruitment of faculty members.
- Provide newly hired faculty members with comprehensive orientations.
- Ensure that teachers comply with Campus Education protocol/ensure that teachers meet standards defined in teacher job descriptions.
- Organize, lead and document monthly faculty meetings.
- Conduct periodic classroom observations at appointed Campus Education center.
- Establish and maintain a learning environment in which students can meet curricular objectives and student learning outcomes for all courses.
- Conduct systematic collation of ongoing student feedback and assessments (course grades, student evaluations, student services surveys, etc.)
- Coordinate equipment and textbook inventory with administration.
- Participate regularly in professional seminars, conferences, workshops, courses, etc.
Instructional:
- Deliver curriculum in interactive ways.
- Adhere to the policies set forth in the Faculty Handbook, including professional development requirements.
- Promote, encourage, and act as an example of the use of the communicative method in ESL instruction.
- Ensure accurate class start/end times.
- Prepare effective lesson plans.
- Grade test and assignments.
- Ensure effective aplication of curriculum/syllabus/materials.
- Check daily rosters and keep student attendance.
- Organize relevant class field trips.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Master's degree, preferably related to TESOL, International Education, Applied Linguistics, English, or English Education,
- Strong TESOL, CELTA, or other professionally recognized certificate if Master's degree is not in TESOL, or Applied Linguistics (ESOL teaching coursework may be substituted for certificate).
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.92 per hour
