Objective
The Fleet Dispatcher schedules trucks and drivers to meet the needs of our customers in the most efficient way possible.
Ideal candidates should be computer knowledgeable and have experience using tracking software, Google Sheets and other web-based platforms.
Innovative new process implementation encouraged.
Candidate would be well spoken and able to maintain a professional working relationships with employees and customers.
Must have the ability to drive revenue and look for efficiencies throughout the shifts.
Essential Job Functions
· Daily scheduling and coordination of fleet including assigning and communicating loads, deliveries and pickups. Assigns all outbound and backhauls to road drivers and coordinates special shipping arrangements, as necessary.

· Utilize assets to full potential by minimizing asset downtime through continuous monitoring and adjustments.
Makes necessary changes to workload during shift to suit customers’ needs and priorities
· Maintain accurate computer dispatch and scheduling records to ensure smooth and accurate communication flow
· Communicates effectively via telephone, radio, written and electronic means with drivers, customers and vendors.
· Maintain a respectful attitude when dealing with drivers, co-workers and potential customers to help foster existing relationships and build new ones
· Maximize profitability by motivating drivers to reach stated top-line performance goals, as well as by controlling department expenses, ensuring they fall within budget
· Coach and manage the driver fleet to ensure high-quality service as measured by on-time delivery, rates and customer satisfaction.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable government, DOT and FMSCA regulations, including drug and alcohol programs and policies.
· Track and communicate Driver PTO to ensure coverage for customer needs
· Works closely with HR and Field Supervisor to accommodate needs of driver DOT credentialing, drug and alcohol testing requirements and timely performance reviews. Owns process until complete.
· Serve as a direct liaison between drivers, operations, management and Human Resources
· Ability to make quick decisions in the best interest of the company and customer.
· Timely Responses to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels

Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two or more years of logistics or dispatch experience. Gas and oil field urgency preferred.
· Ability to read/write English at a proficient level.

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in the Oil and Gas industry a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
· This position has supervisor responsibilities.
Working Conditions
· Shift that are varied. Monday thru Friday and every other Saturday Remotely. 4am start time.
Majority of work performed in a general office environment with frequent interruptions and distractions; extended periods of time sitting and viewing computer monitor. Position may require occasional availability for extended hours.
