SE&C is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Nuclear) position.
Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Nuclear)
Contract Duration: 3-5 year project
Location: (varies)
Rate: $60-$120/hr based on experience and qualifications.
Hours: 4/10’s
# of Positions: 5+
Per Diem: none (they are looking for candidates living in the area or willing to relocate at their own expense)
Close date: once positions are filled
Clearance Required: An active DOE Clearance would be helpful but not required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution in Engineering or related field.
Required Experience
- 5+ Mechanical Engineering experience, nuclear experience preferred
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- Project is focused on equipment design and updating obsolete equipment
- Design of specialty equipment, with experience in the design of nuclear material handling equipment a plus.
- Nuclear facility experience a plus
- Working with NQA-1 standards a plus
- Nuclear high hazard facility experience a plus
· Active DOE Clearance would be a plus, but not required.
Disciplines/Positions
Mechanical Design Engineer
· Experience with the design of some or all the following:
o Nuclear equipment handling design
o Mechanical machine design and specialty mechanical systems
o HVAC Design
o Piping Design
