We are seeking an experienced, motivated and energetic Floor Manager who is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience while leading a talented, dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for an individual that possesses strong leadership qualities, is passionate about food, and has the ability to motivate a team to new levels. We are looking for a Management professional who is capable of making decisions, has attention to detail and is confident in all situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide guests satisfaction and address any complaints with sincere attention.
- Manage restaurant and bar activities including lunch, dinner, room service and occasional events
- Provide on-going direction, supervision and mentoring to FOH staff.
- Monitor product quality and ensure high level of guest service.
- Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
- Management of events from set-up to tear down, including handling all communication with hourly staff, culinary staff and guests.
- Opening, closing and balancing any and all accounting practices, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience in both fine dining and casual environments in New York City
- 4+ years' experience in the hospitality industry, including positions as a server or bartender in New York City
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent customer service
- A good understanding of food and beverage preparation, presentation, and trends
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or equivalent experience
