Founded in 1967, Casa is one of the only treatment centers in Southern California designed to specifically meet the needs of women in recovery. Casa Treatment Center is a residential, outpatient, and sober living substance abuse facility headquartered in Pasadena. Casa is licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services and accredited as a behavioral health care program by the Joint Commission.
Job Summary: The Development Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Development. The Development Coordinator provides support to the Director of Development and Executive Director for all areas of fund development. This critical role works closely with the team to ensure donor communications and strategies align with the needs of the organization.
Essential Duties
· Oversee the management of the donor database and track all donor data. This individual is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy across all campaign efforts and serves as a support to the broader development efforts of the organization.
· Coordinate the processing of incoming gifts, including pledges and installments, according to established.
· Produce donor acknowledgement letters and receipts for donations, including annual tax records.
· Maintain robust donor communication records, including proper physical documentation and media files.
· Assist with the implementation of communication strategy for all development campaigns in partnership with the Director of Development.
· Work in partnership to create content for email, website, print materials and social media that reinforces CASAs mission and resonates with all stakeholders.
· Manage a comprehensive communication calendar for all Casa fundraising initiatives to drive awareness and donor support.
· Work with the Development Director to assist with event management.
· Support the solicitation and recognition of sponsorships and individual donations.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position is best filled by individuals who are open-minded, accepting, thoughtful, patient, detail oriented, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Minimum Requirement
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and/or weekends.
· Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Donor Perfect and Constant Contact.
· Ability to maintain ethical and professional boundaries with clients and staff members.
· Ability to work in and adapt to the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization that serves a culturally diverse population reflective of Southern CA.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to work in a team environment.
· Ability to participate and pass Drug/Alcohol testing on a regular basis.
· CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days.
· Valid CA Driver’s License.
· This position requires that the employee be able to move, ascend/descend stairs and be able to move items up to 20 lbs. for various needs.
