THE POSITION
The Park School of Baltimore has an opening for a Programs Coordinator/Site Supervisor to join the Facilities and Auxiliary teams. Under the joint supervision of the Director of Facilities and Director of Auxiliary Programming, this position coordinates weekend programs and events to ensure that they run smoothly. This is a 12-month, non-exempt position that works approximately 30 hours per week (some weeks closer to 20 hours).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Ensure that all weekend and evening programs are executed effectively.
- With support from the facilities team, ensure that the spaces for all weekend and evening programs are prepared appropriately.
- Connect with the point person for each program before it begins to ensure that all facility and equipment needs are in place.
- Respond to and address any challenges that come up during weekend and evening programs.
- During weekend tournaments and/or large community events, serve as the site supervisor, which involves leading the security, facilities, and parking teams to execute the event effectively.
- In partnership with the facilities staff, ensure that all spaces and fields are cleaned and prepared for school activity the following day.
- Provide recaps of weekend and evening programs to the Director of Facilities and Director of Auxiliary Programming.
- Provide additional support to facilities and auxiliary teams as needed.

WORK HOURS AND DAYS
Applicants must be able to work full weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays) as well as weekday evenings to fill out the rest of the week. In addition, applicants must be able to work holiday weekends when the school hosts large rental events, including the weekend after Thanksgiving, the week between Christmas and New Year’s, President’s Day Weekend, MLK Weekend, Mother’s Day Weekend, Father’s Day Weekend, 4th of July, etc. A typical work week involves the following hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 5:45-8:45 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Weekly hours will be adjusted monthly depending on the school’s specific programs, but the overall breakdown is likely to be approximately 18 hours on the two weekend days (combined) and 12 hours during weekday evenings (four nights per week). Some weeks might be closer to 20 hours per week depending on the volume of weekend activity. On weekends when the school hosts tournaments that run all day Saturday and Sunday, the individual’s hours will be entirely on the weekends without weekday evening work required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires frequent intervals of considerable physical effort including lifting, carrying, and pushing heavy equipment and materials; requires frequent bending, stooping, and crouching. Must be able to identify, observe, and estimate various objects from close and far distances. Requires working in all weather conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in program and event preparation, leadership, and support
- Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules and operating manuals
- Ability to write routine reports
