This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
General Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, the Patient Services Specialist is responsible for handling a variety of administrative duties to facilitate the efficient flow of patients at a clinical office while ensuring a positive patient experience by demonstrating quality customer service skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets parents/patients arriving for appointments.
- Assists parents with the completion of paperwork for new patients and newborns.
- Verifies insurance for patient appointments.
- Checks the Kiosk daily to ensure proper functioning.
- Assists parents/patients with check in via the Kiosk and monitoring time usage to ensure timely patient flow.
- Monitors incoming faxes and processes and/or distributes as deemed appropriate.
- Faxes documents as required.
- Checks patient schedules daily to ensure accuracy and that necessary paperwork is present.
- Performs Gaps-in-Care communications with parents/patients.
- Answers patient questions and concerns.
- Scans documents into eClinical.
- Assists parents/patients picking up shot records, school excuses, and other paperwork.
- Receives, sorts and distributes mail.
- Performs related duties as required.
