The Senior Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in defining policies, procedures, models, and technologies that will be used to collect, organize, store, and retrieve information within the Community Autism Services division. The Senior Solutions Architect formulates the organizational data strategy, including standards of data quality and the flow of data within the organization, partners with IT and other teams to ensure the security of data, and converts business requirements into technical requirements.
The Senior Solutions Architect is also responsible for empowering stakeholders with timely, accurate, and actionable insights to support informed decision-making and strategic initiatives.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Develop and maintain a fault tolerant and highly scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Build and implement a data governance approach, to be approved by supervisor and CAS leadership team, that includes documented processes and procedures
- Develop a scalable data strategy plan for CAS within first 180 days, to include data architecture, integrity, security and visualization
- Oversee existing partnership with DOMO and their consultants and ensure clinical, operational, finance and executive teams have access to relevant and actionable data
- Participate in the analysis and dashboarding of CAS data to unlock performance reporting and critical business insights
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Architect
- Develop and maintain a fault tolerant and highly scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Serve as the data strategy and integration subject matter expert for CAS operational teams
- Analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data in alignment with the organizational data strategy
- Become an expert in data inputs from key systems (Central Reach, ConCred, Kronos, Great Plains, Smart Search)
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure proper operation of the organizations data system
- Manage implementation of new data solutions, as well as existing platform consolidations/upgrades including platform identification, selection, technical architecture, installation, customization, data import, user testing, and organizational training
- Understand the business data needs and translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Create procedures to establish data ownership, source of truth, data standards, flow of data and dissemination of data, and change management processes
- Ensure data accuracy, data accessibility, data security, and data risk management across the organization
- Audit data system performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as required
- Report out to leadership regarding data security and compliance concerns and mitigation
Visualization and Reporting
- Create visualizations and reports that track changes in the organization’s performance, client reception, or staff retention
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to interpret data
- Utilize data and reports to explore potential improvement areas within work processes
- Present data, reports, and findings to a diverse group of stakeholders
CORE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERTISE
- Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design, and testing techniques
- Proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration
- Understanding of predictive modeling and data mining
- Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Experience in health care coding and claims data (Behavioral health coding and claims preferred)
- Experience leading complex projects
- Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws
- The ability to analyze and present statistical information
- Mastery of specific types of databases, such as relational or foundational databases
- Experience with database management software
- Proven record of successful IT strategy development and execution
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud computing, and emerging technologies
- Experience dealing with large data sets
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
- Ability to demonstrate creative problem solving and independently generate solutions using analytical skills and technical knowledge
- Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
Minimum of six years demonstrated experience in data architecture, data informatics, performance measurement, or analysis with strong relational database SQL skills. Previous experience in healthcare preferred.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Certified Data Professional (CDP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), or related certification in data architecture and reporting preferred
