Role:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources Department. This position consists of a variety of clerical duties and requires multi-tasking with an emphasis on confidentiality, accuracy, and detail.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist for full-cycle recruiting: including job postings, applicant tracking, initial phone screening & scheduling interviews, etc.
- Serve as the first contact for the department by answering HR calls, greeting visitors, and managing HR email account.
- Maintain HR Department Sharepoint & ADP Homepage.
- Update organizational chart, contact list, employment verifications and other administrative support.
- Assist employees in appropriate resolution of questions as it relates to payroll, benefits, employee handbook, forms, etc.
- Coordinate and complete onboarding, new hire paperwork and orientation.
- Coordinate travel for prospective and current employees.
- Assist in planning, and organizing internal programs, employee communication memos, company events, employee recognition and other celebrations.
- Maintain confidential personnel files in addition to enrollment and insurance files; provide filing support.
- Reconcile benefit invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Perform personnel-related and other data entry.
- Assist the Human Department with administrative duties and perform other responsibilities as determined by business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience: No previous experience required.
Education: A high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor or Associates degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
