What You’ll Do
The Head of FP&A is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function of the organization. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The Head of FP&A will work closely with the executive team, department heads, and other stakeholders to provide insightful analysis and recommendations that support the organization's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis team, including hiring, training, and performance management
Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes and procedures
Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and quarterly financial statements, to the executive team
Provide financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital expenditures, and new product launches
Lead the annual budgeting process, including collaborating with department heads to develop budgets, reviewing and approving budgets, and presenting budgets to the executive team and the board of directors
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
Identify and analyze financial risks and opportunities and make recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
Monitor and report on key financial and operational performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Business Partner with other departments to provide financial insights and support for business initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and recommendations
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing teams
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights and recommendations
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Experience with financial systems and tools, including ERP systems, budgeting software, and financial modeling tools
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements, including GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
