Ambulatory Surgery Center in Templeton seeking a motivated, responsible individual with experience as a CST, surgical technician or assistant in surgery in an ambulatory surgery setting. This position is perdiem with usual work days Monday and Thursday, is ideal for those who prefer perdiem or part-time work. There are No nights, No weekends, No Holidays! Compensation is based on certification and experience as well as mixture of surgical and medical assistant duties.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- 1+ years in an ambulatory surgery center as a surgical assistant, ST, or CST
- Medical terminology
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Associate Degree in related field preferred
- Previous experience in podiatry field preferred
- Candidates must have a current BLS, or be willing to renew BLS immediately after hire.
- Current clinical experience with sterile processing including knowledge of sterile technique and maintaining sterile field required.
Primary Job Duties include:
- Maintains medical supplies inventory and routine cleaning and maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, verifying receipt of ordered supplies, and restocking supplies
- Maintain a sterile field
- Sterile Processing of podiatry surgical instruments
- Assist with transfer of patients from surgical table to post-operative care
- Assist with surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon and registered nurse.
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
