Position Type: Part-Time/Casual, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
What to Expect: TCV is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible person to fill our part time Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist role for our Alternatives Program located on the South Side in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist plays a critical role in fulfilling the mission of TCV by providing compassionate support, initial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, education, and case management to clients with chemical dependency problems. In this position, as a clinical specialist and team member with the drug and alcohol treatment team and IOP program, you will be a member of a TCV multidisciplinary team working with other therapists, nurses, service coordinators, support staff, administrators, and psychiatrists. The Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist position is designed to:
- Provide focused treatment for a caseload of chemically dependent individuals.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to conduct initial drug & alcohol assessments, facilitate group therapy, individual and family therapy.
- Provides case management and crisis intervention according to program policies and procedures.
- Develop individualized treatment and aftercare plans with clients in compliance with State regulations.
- Documents clinical findings and interactions according to department policy and procedure within three days of contact/service.
- Meet productivity standards of 60% billable clinical services (billed hours per week:____).
- Coordinate referrals to agencies, programs, and/or individuals to assist clients in obtaining supportive and ancillary services.
- Work in conjunction with the legal system, probation, and parole to provide confidential and effective treatment to forensic clients.
- Complete skill self- assessment and develop plan for professional development with director annually.
- Participate/attend at least 25 hours of staff development training per year (July through June). Attend and complete State and agency required trainings meeting time requirements.
- Renew licensure and certification according to requirements of credentialing bodies.
- Actively participate in clinical and administrative supervision regularly.
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients, other professionals at all times.
- Work productively and professionally with D&A treatment, support, and supervisory team.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health/Chemical Dependency Counseling.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a chemical dependency treatment center.
- Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor preferred.
- American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Certification preferred.
- Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
- Bilingual a plus.
