Colonial Hardware, a leading distributor of industrial supplies and equipment, serving customers nationwide and abroad is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, pay excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities
- Process invoices and vendor credits ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Investigate and resolve issues associated with invoices and inventory receiving documents
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Enter payments into the appropriate GL account
- Prepare and process check runs
- Process and reconcile the corporate credit card statements
- Provide support for other financial functions as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
