Responsibilities:
Arrow Reload specializes in the transloading of commodities (steel, lumber, liquid bulk, dry bulk, etc.) from truck/railcar to railcar/ truck and/or containers. We are looking for a shunt truck driver to help ensure that the reload facility is running smoothly by moving empty and loaded trailers to and from various locations within the yard. This role will require the ability to maneuver park, back and dock trailers.
- Move trailers around yard at various locations as instructed

Operate a shunt truck

Operate low and high capacity forklifts

Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations, participate in identifying hazards
-
Ability to maneuver park, back and dock trailers
-
Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics
-
Establish or adjust daily tasks/schedules to meet changing order priorities
-
Maintenance of fleet equipment (e.g. wash and paint equipment)
-
Follow maintenance testing and repairs procedures of products
-
Keep yard and equipment neat and organized
-
Provide internal and external customer service excellence
-
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard operations
-
Ability to understand cross training on all functions at facility
-
Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
You Possess:
- Previous experience operating a shunt truck and high-capacity forklift
-
Previous experience driving a shunt truck, yard truck, or fifth wheel
-
Experience working a rail yard is an asset
-
Experience transloading is an asset
-
Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written
-
Experience working with computers is an asset
-
Can carry at least 50lbs and swing a 10lbs sledge hammer
-
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, heat, wind)

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
