We are hiring a Field Service Engineer for the East Coast region with an emphasis on Flow Cytometer tasks.
This role operates primarily in the field but also involves work in the local office.
Responsibilities include maintaining schedules for preventative maintenance inspections and installations, as well as responding to repair activities for both warranty and post-warranty instruments. The Field Service Engineer is expected to proficiently troubleshoot, repair, and ensure optimal instrument performance while completing installations, repair, updates, inspections, and all necessary field reporting in a timely manner. Occasional service support outside the assigned territory may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully completes all mandatory training on flow cytometer products relevant to the assigned territory.
- Capable of interpreting instrument performance verification data and taking corrective action as necessary to optimize instrument performance.
- Independently repairs instruments of moderate complexity, meeting repair metrics defined by the Service Organization.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by demonstrating confidence in CGT products and services through professional workmanship and demeanor.
- Maintains a professional appearance, behavior, and communication style at all times.
- Contributes to team goals and objectives, communicating effectively with peers, team leaders, management, Sales, and internal associates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting instruments or components.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing lab equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
Assets:
- Flow Cytometry experience preferred.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related technical or biological discipline.
- Previous Field Service Engineer experience advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and PC operating systems.
- Experience with tools and test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes is desirable.
