I&E Automation Technician
Insight Technical Services, Inc. (ITSI) is an Oil and Gas based Manufacturing, Field Automation and Services Company. ITSI manufacturers customized automation control equipment specific to the oil and gas upstream industry, as well as providing automation Engineering and Field Automation Services related to our equipment as well as other manufacturer’s automation equipment.
ITSI is seeking experienced and motivated I&E Automation Technicians that are experienced, knowledgeable, self-motivated that can thrive in a team environment and are looking for a career opportunity. This position requires solid knowledge with process automation related to the upstream Oil and Gas Industry.
This position is an upper-level position so there is an expectation of good experience as it relates to PLCs, meters, level sensors, communications systems, wiring and excellent troubleshooting skills. Multiple work schedules are available in this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Installation and implementation of PLC based automation systems
- Reading and understanding schematics to wire and troubleshoot.
- Understanding and interfacing with transmitters, flow measurement equipment, and many other types of automation, communications and power equipment
- Troubleshooting and repair
- Preventative maintenance
- Upkeep of all documentation to Company and Customer standards
- Must be committed to Safety and a Safe Work Environment
- Other Solutions related to field automation related problems
- Work closely with customer and other automation technicians.
- Must be willing to work overtime as requested.
Qualifications and Skills
- A solid understanding of PLC based automation.
- Knowledge of low voltage DC systems.
- Knowledge of AC Power Systems.
- Knowledge of solar power systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Understand CAD based software systems and be able to create schematics.
- Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Upstream and/or Midstream Industry.
- Experience with Oil and Gas automation equipment.
- Good Communication Skills Required.
- Experienced with computers and programs related to process automation.
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
$750 retention bonus paid after six months of employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
