EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor or Master of Divinity Degree from accredited seminary or equivalent education and the ordination by, or licensure from, a recognized ecclesiastical body that ensures pastoral privilege.
- One (1) year of experience in pastoral ministry
COMPENSTATION:
- Starting Base pay: $55,000-$62,000 (based on experience and education)

JOB SUMMARY:
- Performs assessments of patient’s spiritual needs, motivations, and background; prepares spiritual histories for patient summaries and treatment records.
- Provides pastoral counseling and spiritual care to patients in support of their substance abuse treatment plans; provides pastoral support to family and support members as needed.
- Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participates on a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Chaplain communicates with clinical and medical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
- Provides daily chapel meditations as well as spiritually focused group counseling and educational lectures.
- Chaplain serves as a spiritual care resource and advisor to facility management; provides spiritual mentoring and training to staff as requested.
- Provides assistance as needed to clinical and medical staff in crisis situations with patients in support of resolving emergency problems; appropriately available when scheduled for “On-Call” duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
- Direct contact with patients.
- Sitting for extended periods of time; regularly talking to and listening to others.
