TIELLO has partnered with a highly successful and respected mid-sized General Contractor in the Los Angeles area on their search for an Assistant Superintendent to manage Commercial Ground-Up Construction projects.
Job Title: Assistant Superintendent (3+ years)
Project: Commercial, Civic, Ground-Up
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities
- Reports to Superintendent and/or Project Manager
- Responsible for the quality, safety, and schedule of the construction site
- Assist to create and maintain construction schedules
- Schedule Subcontractors and Coordinate work in the field
- Inspecting and approving work of subcontractors
- Initiating and making recommendations regarding change orders
- Weekly Ownership jobsite meetings and tailgate safety meetings
- SWPPP compliance, Daily Jobsite log, and jobsite cleanliness
- Track and implement field changes, RFI’s, and submittals
- Work with subcontractors to secure all project closeout documents
- Create and track subcontractor Punch-Lists
- Perform walk-throughs, Warranty/Customer Service operations
- Demonstrated history of working safely and adhering to safety standards
Skills & Qualification:
- 3+ years experience in site supervision on Commercial Ground-Up Projects
- Experience in Commercial, Civic, Ground-Up Projects
- Communicate effectively via written and verbal communication
- Experience with local Los Angeles subcontractors and inspectors preferred
- Team player brings a positive attitude to get the job done and on budget
- Must be skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
