The Civic Center Foundation is seeking a qualified individual to perform Stage Technician Duties for Civic Center Music Hall and The Hudiburg Chevrolet Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Rigging and/or supervision of rigging for hanging or flying theatrical elements

Concern for and adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures in place within CCF and those required by OSHA
-
Knowledge and adherence to IATSE rates and conditions
-
Observance of best practices regarding time management especially with relation to union minimums and penalties
-
Ability to read and update building drawings and drafts as needed in provided drafting software.

Assess the stage requirements of incoming clients; identify problems and helping to find solutions with a sense of urgency
-
Clear understanding of the capacities of each space and ability to clearly and respectfully communicate these capacities to incoming user groups.

Lead teams of varying experience and size throughout the theatrical load-in, performance and load out process.

Maintain a list of ongoing maintenance projects. Periodically report projects on these items to the Technical Director.

Assist in maintaining the Civic Center Music Hall and Hudiburg Performing Arts Center's automation systems including regular service, recognizing the need for and managing repairs, and maintaining safety certifications.

Power and Hand Tool Proficiency.
-
Safe Loading and Unloading of Trucks.
-
Safe Transfer of goods and items from stage to storage locations and vice versa.

Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in audio mixing with Digico family consoles, audio systems setup and maintenance, and safe theatrical lighting practices, and programming EOS family lighting consoles for both incandescent and multi-parameter fixtures.

Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theater Production or related field or minimum of 4 years related practical experience

Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience over stage crews

Experience using theatrically based design CAD programs (Vectorworks, Lightwrite, or similar program)

Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of theatrical facility and staging equipment
Required Qualifications:

Ability to lift 60+ lbs

Subject to working irregular work hours and varied work weeks, including weekends and holidays

Ability to work long hours in rooms with little outdoor light.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of lighting design, stage setting design and sound reproduction and reinforcement

Knowledge of and skill in operating, repairing and maintaining complex lighting, audio and staging equipment.

Skill in the use of tools and equipment used in the theater.

Knowledge of occupational hazards of the theater and appropriate precautionary measures.

Skilled in verbal and written communication, using tact and diplomacy.

Ability to maintain a high degree of attention in order to prevent injury to self and others.

Ability to analyze situations and take effective actions.

Ability to train others in the performance of staging functions.
-
Ability to learn new and varied technical stage systems.
