Your Child's Place is a specialized pediatric childcare center for infants and children who demand skilled nursing care while their parents or caregivers are at work or school. The Clinical Director provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Your Child’s Place has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people in place to effectively grow. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the agency (PathWays). This position is accountable for achieving quality care through appropriate leadership and utilization of human and fiscal resources. The Clinical Director serves as a liaison between Your Child’s Place and the community at large and promotes and assists with clinical marketing services to increase child referrals and admissions.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Collect, assess, and record information regarding infant/child and family to identify developmental level and psychosocial needs. Develop, update and implement individualized plan of care for each infant/child.

Ensure a high satisfaction with the care and services being provided.

Assist with insurance authorization of patients as needed.

Work with leadership to manage the day to day operations of the facility, provide program analysis for the senior management with corresponding strategies to improve the overall financial health of the organization.

Involve the Medical Director in direct child care issues when appropriate.

Work with appropriate staff to identify appropriate target markets to promote and market YCP.

Assist leadership to create and implement a strategic plan and modify, as needed.

Evaluates staff performance against job description criteria and competency assessment, providing guidance and coaching to develop each individual as well as each unit to its highest potential.

Conducts department or supervisor meetings to promote communication, assess and resolve needs, address any and all changes to children’s medical needs/plans and foster teamwork.

Manages and oversees all clinical staff operations; manages the clinical team to ensure quality and productivity expectations.

Participates in the processes and decision making for all new hires, transfers, promotions, discharges, assignments, rewards and disciplinary actions.

Assesses training needs and promotes developmental activities for the clinical staff by collaborating with the Organizational Development team.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
-
At least five (5) years or (6,250 hours) of pediatric nursing experience

A combination of experience and education will be considered dependent on approval from the PA Department of Health
-
Valid PA Registered Nurse License

Pre-Employment Physical & TB Test
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, turn, and move objects of up to and including 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand and move about freely for extended periods of time.

Ability to travel to other PathWays locations and event sites.

Ability to perform repetitious work in an office environment and use manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.

Requires occasional sitting, running, walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping/bending, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling, gripping, reaching over head, reaching away from body, and repetitive motion.

Requires normal range of vision.
Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license. Must maintain driver’s license during employment. Must maintain own insurance coverage and, as needed, maintain eligibility under Pathway’s insurance. Must sign a motor vehicle disclosure form prior to employment. Pathways will obtain an MVR report for each employee prior to employment and at least annually thereafter.
- Submit an application for criminal clearance from Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and Department of Human Services FBI, and National Sex Offender Registry clearances prior to employment. If applicant has not lived within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the last five (5) years, employee must also submit an application for a Department of Aging FBI Clearance. Employee must also sign a Criminal History & Child Abuse Disclosure Statement upon hire. If completed clearances are not received within 45 calendar days, employee will be suspended. Must renew all required clearances every five (5) years.
- Upon hire and every two years thereafter, submit a health assessment. Upon hire and annually thereafter, submit results of a Mantoux Tuberculin skin test.
