As a Picking Lead at Adorama, you will oversee critical picking operations within our warehouse. Your role involves leading a team of pickers to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality picking of orders. Collaboration with other warehouse leaders to optimize processes and foster a positive work environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee Picking Team: Lead and motivate a team of pickers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance.
2. Training: Develop and implement training programs covering picking procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards for new pickers.
3. Quality Control: Ensure all picked orders meet quality standards, including accurate item counts, proper handling, and compliance with safety guidelines.
4. Efficiency and Productivity: Monitor and improve picking processes, identifying, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
5. Order Prioritization: Collaborate with the Shipping Supervisor to prioritize orders based on deadlines, customer requirements, and shipping methods.
6. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and oversee proper equipment usage to maintain a secure work environment.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee picking equipment maintenance, promptly reporting malfunctions and managing supply levels.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of picked orders, including batch numbers, picking lists, and inventory updates.
9. Communication: Foster effective communication within the picking team and coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow.
10. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, providing insights and suggestions to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a picking role within a warehouse environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking and inventory management.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
