Objective:
- Support Project Managers produce contracted projects on time and within budget.
- Monitor and report production and financial status of all assigned projects.
- Consistently generate customer satisfaction, promote continued business, and achieve the company’s gross profit margin.
- Outline and follow critical objectives for all jobs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Work with Project Managers to buyout each project prior to commencement; verify and understand project scope, send RFP’s and/or verify subcontractor pricing, confirm and order materials/general condition items, create buyout estimates for transfer to Job Cost, and generate Foreman budgets/ Job Books.
· Manage project start-up and close out processes.
· Coordinate, review, and distribute engineering, consulting, and permits as directed.
· Produce and update schedules directed by Project Manager.
· Communicate all pertinent information to clients.
· Manage all change orders, subcontracts, and subcontractors.
· Issue Submittals, RFI’s and Communicate answers to all parties.
· Generate and update percent complete reports, project recaps, and billable values on a weekly basis. Deliver to Production Team and Controller for Production Report.
· Understand and implement job cost accounting principles and adjust reporting methods based on different project scenarios. Review and verify accuracy of payroll hours, accounts payable costs, and subcontractor invoicing.
· Work to improve systems by identifying barriers and inefficiencies to allow the department to meet its goals and objectives.
· Provide proactive support and planning for the Construction Estimating and Production teams.
· Attend marketing functions regularly and interact with clients, owners, consultants, and competitors.
· Assist Project Managers with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
· 4 year bachelor degree.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Excellent follow through, accountability, strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organization.
· Outstanding professional verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to both collaborate and work independently.
· Capacity to navigate a fast passed, challenging work environment and manage stressful situations.
· Valid Driver License and vehicle for transportation.
· Professional attitude, dedication to Company culture, and overall desire to succeed are critical.
· Experience in Microsoft Projects and Sage 300 for Construction preferred.
