Job Title: Registered Nurse ED CWR
Location: Neptune, NJ
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour Nights) 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Schedule:
- No block scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required as needed
- No on-call requirement

Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, our ED RNs must handle a range of emergency situations for patients of all ages. This role requires quick and decisive actions in dealing with various trauma situations, accurate patient assessments, and the ability to prioritize injuries and medical needs. The ideal candidate will bring clinical knowledge, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills to deliver effective and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
Emergency Patient Care:
- Provide high-quality, emergency nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of acute conditions and traumas.
- Quickly and accurately assess incoming patients' physical and mental health conditions.
- Prioritize medical needs and formulate effective care plans based on clinical assessments.
Triage and Assessment:
- Perform triage duties including initial patient assessments to determine the severity of conditions and prioritize treatment.
- Document patient information, observations, and care provided in a clear and timely manner.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate treatment plans.
Clinical Skills and Documentation:
- Utilize clinical knowledge and analytical skills to create and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and accreditation requirements.
Emergency Protocols and Procedures:
- Follow established emergency protocols and procedures for a variety of trauma and critical care situations.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency nursing through continuous learning and professional development.
Triage Training and Experience:
- Must have triage training and experience in an ED environment.
ED Experience:
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience working in an Emergency Department.
- Must have ED experience within the past six months.
Clinical and Analytical Abilities:
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Professional Nursing Services:
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and hospital staff.
- Experience:
- While not required, any additional experience or certifications related to emergency nursing will be considered a plus.
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- BLS - AHA (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification.
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours (Stroke CEU for 4 hours).
Preferred:
- English: Speak, Read, Write.
- Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO).
