Position: GIS Specialist
Location: Jacksonville, Florida -Remote, USA

- Proven experience as a GIS Specialist, Geospatial Developer, or similar role with expertise in Azure Maps, GIS technologies, JavaScript, GeoJSON, Java, and Geospatial.
- GeoServer is the primary must have skill. Be able to create complex layers, managed APIs, configure and setup environment.
- JavaScript, MapBox experience from a usage, coding and architecture perspective.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js for web-based mapping applications. Angular is what we need.
- The MAPBOX Maps and GIS Expert will play a key role in designing and developing geospatial solutions using Azure Maps, GIS technologies, JavaScript, GeoJSON, Java, and MAPBOX services.
- This role is essential in creating location-based applications and services that enhance the products and offerings.
- Geospatial Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand geospatial requirements and design scalable solutions using Geospatial Maps and GIS technologies.
- Geo Spatial Maps Implementation: Develop and integrate Geospatial Maps into web and mobile applications to provide location-based services and mapping capabilities.
- GeoJSON Data Handling: Create, manipulate, and manage GeoJSON data for geospatial applications, ensuring data quality and efficiency.
- JavaScript Development: Develop interactive and responsive web-based mapping applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Geospatial Integration: Integrate geospatial capabilities into Angular applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Geospatial Analysis: Perform geospatial analysis, including spatial queries, proximity analysis, and routing, to support business needs.
- Data Visualization: Create visually compelling and informative maps and dashboards to convey geospatial data insights.
- API Integration: Utilize Geospatial services and APIs for geospatial data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of geospatial solutions, workflows, and data sources.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve geospatial issues and performance bottlenecks in applications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and product managers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with geospatial technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
