Established, prestigious Advanced Eye Care & Aesthetics practice is seeking a well-suited qualified individual that would be initially responsible for all front desk duties with potential growth in the ophthalmic technician position.
Duties of this position include:
- Promptly and professionally assist the doctor in patient care
- Performing technical workups, patient histories and testing (strong history taking- detailed documentation)
- Assist in the work-up and Prep of patient for treatments/ procedures (have patients sign consent forms and etc.)
- Administer topical medications or diagnostic drugs as required by the provider for testing or treatment.
- Assist the physician with patient education pertaining to the treatment prescribed.
- Prepare procedure and exam rooms; inventory equipment and supplies; replenish supplies and equipment.
- Returning phone calls to patients, pharmacies, other medical practices in a timely manner
- Scribe as needed
- Mastering and utilizing practice management software for medical records and patient scheduling (Knowledge in electronic medical records is a plus)
- Ability to work independently to assist in patient flow management
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualified applicants will have the following:
- Previous Medical Front Desk Experience, preferable in the Ophthalmology Field
Experience using EMR/ Electronic Prescribing

Qualifications:
College degree or Associate Degree preferred
Proven experience in the Medical office FRONT DESK MANAGEMENT can be accepted in lieu of college degrees accreditation
- Successful completion of JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
