CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - Please only apply with construction experience.
Report to: Vice President
Supervises: Subcontractors, Vendors, Suppliers, Project Engineers, and Project Administrative Personnel.
General: The Project Manager will execute overall responsibility and authority as required to complete assigned projects on time, budget, to the complete satisfaction of clients and in accordance with the project drawings, specifications and other contract documents. It is the Project Manager's responsibility to maintain the philosophies of Horizon Group International, LLC and Horizon International Group, LLC in accordance with policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of the entire contract, including estimating, value engineering, scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.
- Supervisory responsibility for Project Engineer(s), Assistant Project Manager(s), and Construction Intern assigned to contract(s) and/or work orders
- Collaborate with other Project Manager(s) to find alternative solutions
- Collaborate and monitor Superintendent(s) performance on contracts and/or work orders
- Review and approve Assistant Project Manager proposals
- Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners
- Point of contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more
- Understand details of project scope of work
- Create and maintain project cost reports
- Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners
- Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan with Superintendent
- Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s)
- Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements
- Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience & Knowledge
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred and 7-10+ years of experience. Depending upon the contract size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.
- RS Means Experience 7-10+ years
- Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with customers by meeting or exceeding their requirements and expectations.
- Supervises and develops direct reports while prioritizing and delegating significant responsibilities to others.
- Manages essential functions effectively by consistently driving for quality, profitable, safe, and timely results on the assigned project.
- Demonstrates solid presentation skills and verbal and written skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
