This position provides assistance to the Vice President of Production. There are daily, weekly, and monthly duties that will need performed on a routine basis. This position serves as somewhat an assistant to the VP and helps with equipment maintenance. There will be appropriate training on equipment so candidates can excel and exceed expectations in the workplace. This is interesting work within the optical industry that requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. The ability to take direction and constructive criticism is necessary to be successful. Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas. Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete. Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools. Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning. Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks.
