WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
You will work the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday from 2 pm - 10 pm or Thursday - Sunday from 2 pm - 12 am.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
As a Mental Health Crisis Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate assistance to individuals facing mental health crises, including those dealing with alcohol or drug abuse problems. With a focus on face-to-face interaction, you will work directly with consumers to assess their crisis and provide counseling, referral services, and linkage to appropriate resources. Whether responding to dispatch calls or assisting clients who visit our Walk-in Center, your presence will bring comfort and support as you guide them toward resolution in the least restrictive environment.
Efficiently completing evaluations and data entry will be essential to ensure adherence to our high standards. Additionally, within 24 hours, you will conduct follow-up phone calls. Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related area

Knowledge of commitment procedures and community resources

Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment

Above average assessment skills, particularly for suicidal potential and potential to harm others
