Responsibilities –
As the Front of House Manager, you will oversee the entirety of Bronzeville Winery guest-facing restaurant operations, including, but not limited to, overall restaurant guest experience (internal and external), financial wellness and cost controls & areas of opportunity for revenue growth. Based on your experience, we expect that you will lead a team that provides our customers with an upscale, authentic, and unique culinary experience. As our hospitality expert, you will be responsible for staying abreast of the newest restaurant industry trends as it pertains to food, beverage and service. We expect that you assist us in an intentional focus on the community by partnering with local organizations and creating memorable community events that celebrate the rich heritage and culture of Bronzeville Winery. Your position will foster an environment conducive to training, extended workshops and mentoring programs. Bronzeville Winery is an incubator for the next generation of hospitality hopefuls. Your unique experience, familiarity with the community and leadership presence will set the stage for the high expectation of unmatched customer service we will provide at Bronzeville Winery.
This position will create and enforce company standards and service levels to increase sales and control costs. Areas of daily standard review include steps of service, time and attendance, beverage, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, inventory and supply, utility, and labor costs.
This position will steer revenue and profit targets by managing staff to provide top-tier restaurant service. It is expected that this position monitors guest and employee satisfaction while consistently improving the image of the company and increasing revenue. A strong focus on maintaining a high level of service, working towards Michelin star standards by educating the staff on service standards and techniques, and culture and developing personalized customer service. Operationally, it is expected that this position controls and increases efficiencies in operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing quality patron-service standards; and constantly working on improving service standards using Google Reviews, TOCK feedback, and in-house feedback.
The front of house manager is expected to maintain guest/employee satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; and building relationships with guests.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry.
Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Once initial levels of responsibilities have been achieved, it is anticipated that this position will take over schedules and will also be responsible for oversight of inventory and ordering for alcohol.

Compensation - The starting hourly wage for this position is $30/hour. Payroll is processed weekly by direct deposit. You will receive a progress evaluation after 90 days as well as annually by the managing director. Upon successful annual review, you will be eligible for an increase in compensation.
Benefits - Bronzeville Winery will offer a comprehensive benefits program to full-time employees only after 90 days which will include medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. The PTO and sick policy offered is comparable to the City of Chicago standards.
At-Will Employment – Your employment with Bronzeville Winery will be on an at-will basis, which means you and Bronzeville Winery LLC are free to terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or advance notice. The company has the discretion to alter or rescind information contained in the offer letter during the course of employment. Your employment start date is contingent upon a successful criminal background check and reference check.
