SUPERVISOR: Assigned Attorney(s)
SUMMARY:
The legal assistant (“assistant”) will be responsible for supporting the assigned attorney in transactional matters. This role involves drafting and revising documents, communicating with clients, and coordinating transaction closings. The assistant will work as part of a team of self-motivated professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Aptitude for preparing, reviewing, and editing finance-related transaction documents.
- Advanced internet research skills and skills in the use of Outlook, Word, and pdf applications.
- High level of independence, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Three consecutive years of work as a legal assistant or in a position requiring skill in copyediting or proofreading. A paralegal certificate is not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Onsite, with some remote work possible, in a standard office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like.
