We are seeking Ground Transportation Coordinators to manage logistics for transplant organs andsupporting clinical teams. This role is vital to ensure the timely and safe delivery of organs for transplant, coordinating with third-party transportation providers to facilitate ground transportation. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, capable of making quick decisions, and able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Coordinate and schedule ground transportation for organ transplants using limo/taxi booking anddispatch software.

Monitor and track the transport of organs using Google Maps and other tools to ensure on- timedelivery.

Communicate effectively with transportation providers, healthcare facilities, and internal teams through email, text messages, and phone calls.

Select and vet new transportation providers for one-off transportation needs on short notice.

Maintain detailed records of transportation arrangements and real-time updates within the transportation management system.

Respond promptly to transportation emergencies or last-minute changes to ensure no disruption inservice.

Work collaboratively with other coordinators and team members in a shift work environment toprovide seamless 24/7 coverage.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and transportation regulations.

Performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary.
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination.

Proficiency with transportation dispatch software, Google Maps, and MS Office Suite.

Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be flexible with working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of medical or health care industry logistics is a plus.

Must pass a background check.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software.

Empathy and understanding of the sensitive nature of the transported items.

Multitasking ability to coordinate multiple transportation requests simultaneously.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
