Position Overview
Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

Reviews all bills/vouchers for payment.

Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.

Matches purchase order with bills. Insures each bill is approved by a manager prior to payment.

Data entry of vendor invoices

Answers all vendor inquiries.

Analyzes vendor accounts.
-
Prepares accounts payable checks.
-
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files.

Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
-
Assists in monthly closings.

Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
Qualifications

Requirements

Education and/or experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, on phone or in small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, ratios, commissions and percentages.

Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer skills: Ability to use computer; training will be provided as needed.

Equipment used: Computer terminals and printers, calculators, credit card machines, fax, phone, typewriter and other office equipment.
