:
This position is for a Network Engineer who will serve on a team of technical Engineers in support of multiple government programs. Candidates will be involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks that includes requirements analysis and optimizing network performance. The ideal candidate will possess good communication, presentation, and writing skills. They will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment supporting the Department of the Navy.
Network engineers lead technical teams through Systems definition and requirements engineering, network design synthesis, and Network analysis and the design, implementation, operation and technical management of Systems projects.
- Conduct top-down functional analysis and translate requirements into detailed performance design criteria.
- Design and build templates to assist SMEs in providing critical system information.
- Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for Network of low complexity.
- Define/refine internal and external interfaces. -Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes.
- Analyze product or system functionality as defined by requirements.
Providing on-call and touch labor support in the sustainment of networks.
Responsible for providing SME to assist in the sustainment of Marine Corps and coalition networks.
- Bachelor degree from any accredited university in Information Technology or Cybersecurity
- Comp TIA Security+
- CCENT, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, and CISSP Certification
Technical documentation.

- 5 plus years with network architectures with detailed understanding of network and security appliances.
- Installation, configuration and support of network appliances.
- Proven ability to install and configure physical components; routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
- Familiar with hardening devices such as DoD STIG’ing and SCAP scanning.
- Expertise in network analysis, management, design, capacity and throughput planning.
- Utilizing network monitoring, management and other tools to ensure network security and optimal performance.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco ISE, and F5.
- Experience with Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.1ac and 802.11ax.
- Experience and understanding with implementation and troubleshooting various routing protocol.
- Experience and understanding with implementation and troubleshooting various switching protocol.
- Experience and understanding with PKI implementation and troubleshooting communications between routers via IPsec.
- Experience and understanding in how to generate CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for various network devices and adding approved certificates to respective network devices afterward.
- Experience and understanding with firewall rules and applications of ACLs.
- Experience and understanding with network load balancers at layer 3 and layer 7.
- Experience and understanding of 802.1X standards.
- Familiar with running and configuring ACAS scans and STIG scans.
- Familiar with hardening systems such as DoD STIG’ing and SCAP scanning.
- Effectively interact via good verbal and written communications with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Program Managers.
- On-call support for CONUS and OCONUS requirements.
