Description
We are seeking a professional Pharmacy Care Technician that loves to work with patients. A Bachelor's degree is required, preferred in the field of science. This includes, but is not limited to, health sciences, exercise sciences, nutrition, etc.
Your role is to work with current patients to proficiently and successfully help manage their treatment plans as prepared by the providers and create solutions for their needs. Primarily responsible for acting as the liaison between patient care coordinator, provider and patient and having open lines of communication to all parties to provide the best patient care by taking and fulfilling patient orders, transmitting prescriptions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to develop a patient relationship. Work consists of communication on the phone, email, and via text.
This position will be based in our administrative office. Must be able to travel as requested for training. Must also be willing to work varied hours between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM as needed.
Must be able to pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and provide references.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferred in the field of science. This includes, but is not limited to, health sciences, exercise sciences, nutrition, etc.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft office and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must possess an ability to work independently as well as with a team to accomplish goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a high stress environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Able to demonstrate experience and prove ability to learn medical terminology.
