QSCC is looking to welcome a new Project Manager! The Project Manager is an exciting role within QSCC’s Operations team that directly supports Wendy’s Marketing initiatives, core product changes, QSCC projects, and other supply assurance projects. In this role, your primary responsibility is to assure supply and mitigate costs. Projects may include core item transitions, price promoted offers, new menu items, disengagements, etc. lead communicate, review and assess the amounts of inventory and sales across our 24 distribution centers which service over 6,000 Wendy’s restaurants twice or more each week. The environment moves at the speed of the quick service restaurant business! Innovation happens all the time and we work to support both core and limited time offerings; as such, our ideal new team member enjoys a fast pace with multiple projects to support at a given time. This requires a sense of urgency and attention to details.
This is a highly collaborative role. Our Project Managers regularly meet with several key functional areas of Wendy’s such as Marketing, Restaurant Services, Finance, Innovation, Quality Assurance, and others. The Manager is expected to lead the supply chain function in these settings with support as needed from QSCC’s procurement team. As a Project Manager, you will be a conduit of essential information as it relates to end-to-end execution of menu-related programs. As new initiatives are approved, you will lead the charge on meeting deadlines for product commitment, calling out risks in advance, and developing production plans accordingly. Leveraging the information available, such as historical program performance and forecasts, you will work to provide the widest logical range of support should programs perform above or below expectations. Once implemented, you are responsible for reacting to actual program performance to assure supply, communicating with distributors and suppliers to execute production plan adjustments, inventory transfers or expedites, escalating issues to the Director and/or VP as needed. As the project lead, you are also responsible for tracking and reporting project costs (estimated and actual) through ad-hoc updates and accounting accruals.
Each Manager receives support from a Project Coordinator who assists with inventory management, project performance updates, communication, and accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the project supply chain lead by gathering and communicating key project information with QSCC teams, Wendy’s cross-functional partners, distribution centers (DCs), and suppliers to ensure that product and program goals are met.
- Develop the project plan and communicate to necessary stakeholders
- Review and respond to Wendy’s Forecast
- Execute the supplier commitment process
- Develop supply plan and communicates potential risks to supply or costs
- Develop supply chain support range
- Collaborate with suppliers on production planning and track accordingly
- Communicate plans with DCs for inventory preparation and track accordingly (supported by Coordinator)
- Maintain necessary system settings in demand planning system to manage demand models, shortage alerts, item transitions, promotional development and allocation of supply
- Respond to project issues that may impede project delivery and partners with team members to coordinate solutions, escalating as needed
- Assist Director in the training & development of assigned Project Coordinator. Regularly checks in with Coordinator to ensure clear understanding of project tasks and status and redirects as needed.
- Manage associated accounting processes for purchase order approval, accrual amounts, overall cost tracking, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field strongly preferred. Certificate(s) in project management and Six Sigma a plus
- 6+ years of project or program management experience
- Adaptable and open to change, able to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and new situations
- Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, and conflict management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys having multiple initiatives to work on and leverages strong time management skills to help move projects forward.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
- Continuous improvement mindset. Eager to learn and apply new experiences for both business and personal growth
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Proactive in seeking out opportunities, flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, determined and persistent to push through challenges, and builds a network while being honest, transparent, and responsible in their business dealings to contribute to the long-term success and reputation of themselves and the Wendy’s system.
