GENERAL SUMMARY
Cotter Schools is seeking an Information Technology and Audio-Visual Specialist to be responsible for implementing, supporting, updating, monitoring, changing, and protecting Cotter’s information systems. This position will also be responsible for implementing, supporting, updating, documenting, changing, and protecting Cotter’s audio-visual equipment and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Daily tech support, installation, testing, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, peripherals, client applications, audio video devices and telecommunication systems for facilities.
- Responsible for responding to more immediate technology concerns to ensure timely resolution.
- Work with the organization's current information systems and procedures and propose solutions to help operations be more efficient and effective.
- Support the technology needs of special events on Cotter campuses, including concerts, athletic events, theater performances, Mass, and speakers/lecturers, etc.
- Responsible for innovative and integrated use of technology-based solutions throughout the organization.
- Full-time hourly position on weekdays from 7 am – 3:30 pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum requirement of a technical degree or certification in a related field.
- Working knowledge of computer and audio hardware, software, peripherals, and technology integration.
- Experience working with IT systems and AV equipment.
- Effective, appropriate and timely communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to use data to drive improvements in systems and processes.
- High level of integrity and situational awareness regarding the need for either transparency and openness or confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly while simultaneously managing numerous projects.
- Represents the school in a positive manner and maintains an attitude that encourages teamwork and inspires the use of new technology.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended period of time;
- Ability to frequently walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
- Starting wage of $18 per hour, negotiable based on credentials and experience.
