Rapidly growing General Contractor listed in the ENR 400, specializing in commercial construction projects, is currently seeking a talented Sr. Construction Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
As a Sr. Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process by preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide range of commercial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with our project management and business development teams to secure new projects and ensure our clients' needs are met. Key Responsibilities:
· Project Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
· Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that are competitive, accurate, and aligned with project requirements and specifications.
· Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong relationships with industry partners.
· Value Engineering: Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering without compromising quality.
· Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of project plans and specifications to identify potential cost risks and opportunities.
· Cost Tracking: Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction phase, assisting in change order pricing and cost control.
· Documentation: Maintain organized and well-documented records of all estimating activities, including proposals, correspondence, and historical cost data.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and cohesive project estimates.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
· Proven experience as a commercial construction estimator.
· Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
· Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Pay: $85,133.60 - $119,483.48 per year
