The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of all instrumentation and electrical systems within an industrial facility. This role involves managing a team of I&E technicians, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The I&E Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of the plant's instrumentation and electrical systems.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in I&E maintenance operations.
- Stay informed about advancements in instrumentation and electrical technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance within an industrial setting, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for testing and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems. Strong understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in instrumentation or electrical fields (e.g., Certified Instrumentation Technician, Journeyman Electrician) are highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and adverse weather conditions. Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks that involve lifting, standing, and manual dexterity.
