The Lead Inventory Specialist is responsible for posting all inventory transactions to the general ledger. This includes new manufacturer, used auction, dealer trades and other used vehicle purchases. They will also train and mentor the inventory specialists.
Duties/Responsibilities
- · Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval
- · Ensures all inventory is posted to the general ledger timely, accurately and within company guidelines
- · Ensures all auction sales are posted to the general ledger timely and within company guidelines
- · Ensures compliance with all audit key controls
- · Reviews exception reports daily and ensure all correcting entries are posted
- · Trains and mentors Inventory Specialists
- · Implements continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce errors
- · Monitors processing metrics to ensure all transactions are being posted timely
- · Prioritize and execute in high urgency situations
- · Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Education & Experience
- · An understanding of General Accounting Principals
- · A general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- · Experience in automotive accounting
- · A good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- · Adaptive & Detail-Oriented Problem Solver
- · Be known for "stepping in" to perform duties to serve when an opportunity presents itself to create an improved experience. Has a clear and well laid out daily process and properly manages all responsibility.
- · Consistently shine and be responsible for our guests' experience. Follow-up on emails, assist our dealership partners, and be personally responsible for your role in providing excellence.
