We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support major transportation infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale public works projects, with a focus on delivering successful outcomes in the transportation sector.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and implementation of work packages and task orders
- Provide direction and input on projects from design development through construction
- Act as the primary representative on assigned projects, establishing standards for meeting minutes, records, and ensuring compliance with CEQA/NEPA and other regulatory requirements
- Facilitate coordination with various agencies, including LAWA divisions, FAA, TSA, AQMD, SHPO, and EPA, as appropriate
- Coordinate messaging plans, notices, contingency planning, and other tasks as needed
- Monitor key performance indicators for project and overall program progress, resources, budget, risks, and opportunities
- Collaborate and communicate with leadership and project team leaders to review progress and tackle issues, taking corrective actions where needed
- Oversee the fulfilment of overarching organizational goals by coordinating activities and interdependencies between multiple project teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Aviation, Business, or other related technical field; Master’s degree preferred
- Relevant professional licensure and/or certifications strongly preferred, such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, or AICP
- 7 - 15 years of experience, preferably on transportation infrastructure projects such as Airport, Rail, Highway
- Demonstrable specialized experience and expertise in the successful delivery of aviation or transportation projects
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build and alternative project delivery methods
- Knowledge of FAA, TSA, and other transportation-related regulations and requirements
- Familiarity with Southern California public works projects and agencies
