The Law Offices of Daniel A. Kaplan is seeking an associate attorney to handle a variety of litigation matters. Candidates who learn by doing and want to expand their responsibilities are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will be seeking a full-time position in which he or she will be responsible for analyzing facts and law to advise clients; drafting and responding to motions; arguing motions in court; performing trial preparation and engaging in discovery work, including written discovery and depositions.
All candidates must have graduated from an ABA approved law school in the top third of their class and be admitted to the State Bar of California. Two years of civil litigation experience in California is preferred but not required.
We are seeking a lawyer who writes clearly, and concisely. Top candidates will have a practice of planning out work product, and producing it efficiently. We will hire someone who exercises excellent judgment when handling assigned tasks.
Candidates should be proficient at legal research using Lexis. A familiarity with the state and federal bench is a plus.
