Under the direction of the ASSITANT STORE MANAGERS, responsible for providing fast, friendly and courteous customer service.
Essential Functions:

Ensure that the guest is the #1 priority and that every guest is treated accordingly.

Manage the first 5 Moments of Magic:

Ensure the front entrance is pleasing.

Welcome guests to Eckerts

Offer assistance in finding products

Attend to guests needs in a timely manner and provided with superior service

Invite guests back and pass out coupons/information

Handle cash, check, credit card and gift certificate payments
-
Answer customers questions and provide product information
-
Bag and box merchandise
-
Count money cash drawers at the beginning of the shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change

Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
-
Redeem coupons
-
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
-
Monitor checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and that there is someone always available near the register to assist customers

Process merchandise returns and exchanges

Resolve customer complaints
-
Weigh items sold by weight in order to determine prices

Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
-
Communicate with other store staff.

Assists with product displays
-
Set up and take down of product samples on a daily basis

Performs other duties as needed or assigned
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk and hear.

Generally light physical effort. The employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. rarely and/or 5 to 25 lbs. occasionally.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships along with adjusting the eye to bring objects into sharp focus.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Good working conditions.
Knowledge:Job requires a high school diploma or GED; previous customer service experience preferred.
Experience:Preferably 1-2 years in a retail-type setting.
