Job Overview To be successful as a Forklift Driver, you should demonstrate good vision, hearing, and teamwork skills. Outstanding Forklit Operators can follow instructions in noisy environments. Job Responsibilities: • Work as a team, follow orders and complete tasks as assigned • Work with others to cooperatively finish tasks • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion • Work outside in the weather every day • Must be willing to follow directions and learn from other crew members and leaders • Must be able to take direction and operate with a very high quality of work • Required to conduct daily inspections of equipment • Must be able to operate a forklift and equipment safely after an initial training period Requirements • Successful candidate must have 1 year of experience operating a forklift. • High school diploma or GED.
- The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards. • Knowledge of heavy equipment. • Experience performing maintenance on forklifts. • The ability to carry out duties unsupervised, in harsh weather conditions, and during irregular hours when required.
